Unlocking Your Inner Potential: The Transformative Power of Mindful Awareness
Using Mindfulness to Live Your Best Life
So much of life can feel like you’re destined to recycle old past patterns to create a similar reality. Whether you continue to identify with your previous self or consciously release what no longer serves, we each have the power to exercise the power of choice.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to endure undue suffering; we have free will to shift as needed. Beyond current awareness lies a world of possibilities and opportunities awaiting our decision to change. Deciding to change is merely the first step to changing longstanding beliefs.
Perhaps you have an increasing desire to go beyond what you once believed was possible, only to be met with a continuous stream of potential blockages that threaten to decimate your desires. Now, you’ve likely gotten pulled into a rabbit hole fantasizing about the thousand and one ways your desired intentions will fail. The next thing you know, your awareness is increasingly focused more on what you don’t want than your desired intent. As what you focus on expands, the more one focuses on all of the shit that could go wrong, it is hard to see a way through.
You may very well feel that where you currently are is so restrictive and predictable that the thought of remaining still fills you with a sense that you can’t fully breathe. In other words, your higher self has an inherent call calling you to evolve, grow, and ascend to a higher level. Only the prevailing sense of the fear of the unknown can be so great that it leaves you feeling conflicted to the point that you are liable to feel confused to the point where you end up being in a state of inaction. We are spiritual beings innately infused with everything we could ever wish, hope for, or desire. Hence, everything is possible as we are already equipped with everything necessary to fulfill our heart’s desire.
Contrary to widespread belief, change is the one constant, as life is continually evolving and unfolding as each living being has a time and a season. No matter how much we may resist or fight against the flow of change, it persists nonetheless. On average, every cell in our body replenishes itself every seven years without fail. Likewise, life is continually evolving. Hence, the same goes for the various situations and circumstances that we experience.
The illusion that life is continuously happening to us may feel as accurate as it appears. However, the beliefs and thoughts we think and hold on consciousness are mirrored in our external reality. So, as uncomfortable and disheartening as it is to hear, we curate our reality. Be it good, bad, or indifferent, it is all sourced from our predominant beliefs. If we believe that prosperity is our birthright and live in an abundant universe where all things are possible, we are likely living out our dreams. Whereas, if one believes in scarcity, lack, and limitation where wealth is reserved for a select few, handwork, sacrifice, and suffering are necessary evils that one must endure to be worthy enough to actualize one's intentions. Thankfully, we each have free will to choose how to direct our energy consciously. We will manifest more of the same if we rely on old beliefs. However, if we are displeased with any aspect of our lives, we can shift our beliefs to manifest our chosen reality. We are each emancipation of the Divine, capable of taking our power.
The more we get caught up and intertwined with making the same pattern of activities, repeatedly recycling the same thoughts time and time again until it begins to feel like it’s figuratively Ground Hog Day ( aka the movie where the guy woke up to the same day for years). The next thing you know, the things that once enticed, excited, and motivated you can now be rivaled to watching paint dry. This analogy may be a bit extreme; however, repeating the same tasks, thoughts, and actions can literally and figuratively make you want to holler to the point where you are willing to do whatever it takes to shake things up a bit.
A willingness and openness to change is the first step to creating a new reality. Only we are often plagued with even more questions. Where do I begin? These questions continue until you come face to face with the most menacing question: How the hell am I going to do it, and do Ikes to do something that is entirely outside of my comfort zone.
Likewise, where your attention goes, your energy flows; hence, the more one focuses on the how, the more the ego intellectualizes how it will do it. In doing so, the farther it is outside your comfort zone, the more impossible it will seem. The next thing you know, the mind begins to rattle off all the reasons why you should stay within the limited confines of your comfort zone. As a result, the mind starts to source the various things that are an extension of what you know you can do. Now, you are only dipping your toes slightly outside of your zone. Only over time, it too soon proves to be too safe.
Most of us spend such an excessive amount of time grounded in the reality of appearances that it makes it dam near impossible to tap into our imaginations' childlike curiosity to envision a reality in which we can fully out-express ourselves without limits. With each passing year, we grow further away from the imagination faculty that empowered us to engineer a reality of our choosing, free of conditioning, fear, and limitations, all to grow up and live in a reality plagued with inherent limitations at every turn. The good news is that the world of appearances is an illusion, as we live in an abundant universe where all things are possible. We must be open and receptive to the potential good that awaits our acceptance to surpass any current beliefs of what is possible.
