Mindfulness Demystified: How to Release the Limiting Belief of "I'm Not Good Enough"
3 Essential Secrets To Reclaiming Your Power
Practically everyone at some point or another has believed that they are in some way, shape or form not good enough. What starts as one seemingly random thought can quickly lead one to entertain the misconception that one is ill-equipped to manifest their desires.
Suddenly thought after thought shifts, taking a nosedive into the dangers of comparison. Only changing course often proves a challenge. If this resonates in the least bit, you are not alone. This post will delve into three steps that support you in releasing the limiting belief of self-insufficiency.
Thoughts Are Things
Everything that is manifested in physical form is energy. From the foods we eat, the thoughts we think, the cadence of our speech, trees, flowers, animals, and inanimate objects, to every manner we experience and interact with the world. The only difference is that we are spiritual beings having a human experience with the ability to think independently of circumstances. Likewise, we experience the world through our physical senses.
All we consume, engage and interact with emits a vibration that spans the spectrum between high and low frequencies. Hence, every feeling and sensation we experience as joy, happiness, sadness, and anger, along with every other energetically charged emotion, emits a distinct frequency, with higher vibrations reflecting pleasant feelings of harmony and lower vibrations projecting a sense of emotional pain that manifests as a form of suffering. Likewise, what we vibrate and hold within our inner world is inherently reflected in our external world.
Whether we experience thoughts of joy, happiness, contentment, fear, anger, or any other state of being, all we hold in consciousness is mirrored in our outer world. Regardless of whether we willingly consent to allow the world to see and know our true feelings, it’s reflected for the world to see. Notably, energy can’t be broken or destroyed. Therefore, no matter how much you attempt to mask your feelings, it is freely displayed for the world to see, regardless of whether we like it or not, as energy doesn’t lie. In essence, what we hold in consciousness and say to ourselves matters.
Everything Happens As You Believe
From the disempowering negative low vibrational self-talk to reciting empowering affirmations, every fiber of your being hangs on the vibration of your words. The more one persistently reinforces the limiting belief that they are not enough, the more it is reflected in their outer world. Likewise, the lens through which one perceives the external world is filtered through the misperception that one needs to attain more to be sufficient (aka enough). In other words, we lack something in some way, shape, or form and must proverbially add something to ourselves to better equip ourselves to be enough.
Whatever one experiences in consciousness carries a vibration that fluctuates from minute to minute, as one predominant frequency creates and maintains their state of being. It has long been said that your vibe attracts your tribe, as like attracts like. In other words, your vibratory frequency attracts the people, situations, and circumstances that osculate (vibrate) at the same frequency. Hence, birds of a feather flock together. Since we attract individuals that project a similar vibration, it is that much easier to fall prey to the ills of comparison.
Limiting beliefs stem from fears that seed doubt. From the fear of failure, insufficiency, and judgment, to the fear of success. These are a few of the very things that we are not taught in school or anywhere else.
One would think, why in the world would someone be fearful of succeeding? Notably, this fear tends to arise when one actualizes their intentions by manifesting the object of their desire. On the one hand, there is immense enthusiasm; on the other, the ruse of imposter syndrome is prone to rear its ugly head, calling one to question whether it was all a farce and that they will be revealed as an imposter.
Contrary to popular belief, concocting outlandish scenarios that reaffirm one’s inadequacy is precisely what fear does, as it seeks to validate its existence by perpetually regulating us to suffer. Interestingly, many learn what to do or not do through pain and suffering. Hence, our minds have been conditioned to believe and accept that suffering is a necessary means to an end.
This is further echoed by habitual patterns that direct us to subconsciously revert our awareness to the worst-case scenario as our minds are conditioned to envision, plan and expect the worst.
This is reminiscent of the adage that reaffirms that one must proverbially “wait for the other shoe to drop.” Notably, no one in their right mind wants anything that can be perceived as unfavorable (bad) to happen. However, to prepare for the absolute worst, we reaffirm the opposite as the things we focus on expand.
One’s energy goes where their attention flows. Hence, there is no duality, as one cannot concentrate their energy simultaneously on two different opposing frequencies. The energy of hope and expectancy emits a higher frequency which is the exact opposite of low vibration of fear and belief in lack and limitation.
Hence, one can not have it both ways, as the predominate frequency essentially rules the roost. Consequently, these beliefs and habitual patterns all spring from the collective belief that we are not enough as is. This reiterates the misperception that one must exert some degree of effort before wholeheartedly accepting their worthiness.
In other words, there is always something that we’ve got to do before we can truly qualify and accept the universal truth that we are enough. From getting advanced degrees, and certifications, to jumping the many hoops to satisfy the laundry list of qualifications as we strive to prove our worth. Likewise, the more one relentlessly seeks to fill the void of lack and limitations, and feelings of not being enough, the more significant the gap widens between the truth of our being and who we perceive ourselves to be.
Beyond Appearances
As a collective, we have been led to believe that appearances are everything. Print media , ad campaigns, publications, and social media juggernauts, Instagram, FaceBook, and last but not least, the top reigning champion TicTok, further reinforce this notion. Notably, in the past decade-plus social media influencers, content makers, and creatives alike have flourished in the virtual space curated content.
It is well-known that social media content is shaped by meticulously curated content. Hence, it is not real. However, millions and millions of accounts foster the illusion of beauty, extravagance, and perfection, all of which are some of the most sought-after qualities. So naturally, the more followers, fame, and notoriety, the more likely one is to get caught up in the limiting belief of lack and limitation, echoing the misperception that one is not enough.
Beyond the illusion of appearances lies the truth of your being that you are enough, always have been, and always will be. Contrary to popular belief, every one of us is a unique individualized expression of the Divine, having a human incarnation.
You are an eternal spiritual being with a body, having a human experience. Likewise, you have a body, but you are not the body. In other words, you are not your experiences, roles, identities, or anything else that is not eternal.
Hence, you are a unique masterpiece of which no other is quite the same. Much like every snowflake has its own unique individualized design, we each have a unique fingerprint that sets us apart from all others. Therefore there is no comparison, as you are enough, just as you are in this moment
3 Essential Secrets To Reclaiming Your Power
1. There’s No Magical Formula
Despite anything that you may have been led to believe, f shifting deep seated beliefs doesn’t happen overnight. Like most things, developing a belief system that recognizes, honors, and celebrates your brilliance takes time, patience, and consistency. Remember, youare a unique emanation of the Divine, meaning no one else is quite like you. Therefore, there is no comparison to anyone outside of yourself.
2. Release the Burden of Comparison
When we look at others, who may outwardly seem to have it all together, curating images on social media that make it appear that they are consistently doing practically all of the things “they" say one should be doing to “go about it, the right way.”
Thankfully, you are more powerful than you know. When you entered the human incarnation, you were already equipped with everything you could ever need, wish, hope, or desire.
Everything is possible, as everything you could ever desire is already within. Nothing can be added unto you, as the more you awaken to your innate power, the more aligned you become with the truth of your being.
Likewise, anything is possible as everything reflects and reveals everything as you believe. There is no comparison because we are each individualized expressions of the Divine, with our unique path.
3. Remember Who the F*** You Are
As a collective, we are taught to keep ourselves small enough to fit into societal norms and expectations. In other words, we are conditioned to believe we are only enough with makeup, degrees, or professional accolades, or any of the many things that are believed to be an enhancement.
Contrary to popular belief, you are an eternal spiritual being with an infinite capacity to do any and everything you set out to do. Beyond anything, the world of appearances may lead you to believe you are not enough. However, you are enough, just as you always have been and always will be.
Although there is more than one singular way to do a particular thing, we have collectively been conditioned to believe in duality and that there is a right and wrong way to do something.
We are increasingly acclimated to an err on the side of caution, being attentive to ensure that we do everything in our power to do things the “right way,” which is likely the same way we have seen it done time and time again.
We are individualized expressions (spiritual beings) with unique talents and gifts. No two people are the same, even in the case of identical twins. There is more than one way to do everything; as we each have a unique creative flare for everything we do which sets us apart from all others. Hence, no two paths are identical, as there is no comparison to anyone outside of ourselves.
Thankfully, this frees you to release yourself from any limitations that make you feel obligated to mirror your actions after others when it may not fit your individualized needs.
Please allow yourself to remain open, and available to exploring different modes and methods of expression, taking what resonates, and leaving the rest that does not serve your highest good.
Anytime you find yourself shrinking away from your power, take a few moments to pause, breathe, and recenter yourself in the present, and remember who TF you are. Remember, you are far more expansive than the limited human condition; as you are a divine being with infinite power.
