Mindfulness Demystified: How Gratitude Can Help Manifest Your Hearts Desire
The Master Key to Manifesting Your Desires
It has long been said that it is better to give than receive. In the case of manifesting your desires, giving comes in the form of expressing gratitude and appreciation in advance of receiving. Interestingly this goes against practically everything we have been taught.
From an early age, we are taught to give thanks anytime we receive acts of love and kindness. Accessing the law of attraction calls for us to do the exact opposite. Outwardly it seems easy enough to re-engineer our habits completely. However, old habits die hard.
Many of us are more than willing to do everything we possibly can to manifest our desires, but only if you dig a little deeper you’ll find it’s a little more nuanced. This post will explore the mindful practice of using gratitude to manifest your desires.
Perception is Reality
At any given moment, one can find themselves caught up in the reality of our current situation. Be it good or not so good, we all find a way to laser in on the very things that displease us. In all respects, we could be content with practically every area of our life, except perhaps that one minor thing. As time passes, a brief moment of focus on this one specific area begins to expand exponentially. Next, the thing you know, one thought leads to another, and another until it wholehordtely consumes the sum of our awareness. And just like that, we are engulfed in the downward-spiraling thoughts that have formed into a sea of negativity.
Now we are using our imagination to concoct every possible worst-case scenario we don’t want to happen. We have gone from relatively seeing a world filled with infinite possibilities to living in an imaginary world where absolutely nothing is working in our favor. We have literally and figuratively made a mountain out of a molehill. Perception is reality. Thankfully, we can access the mindfulness practice of gratitude to support us in changing our perceptions.
The Master Key Manifestation
It has long been said that giving is better than receiving. Only I had no idea how much this reigns true regarding manifestation. From an early age, we are taught to give thanks anytime we receive any act of love and kindness. It is right to express gratitude anytime someone gives you something. Only applying this approach won’t work when it comes to manifestation. Naturally, one wouldn’t thank someone in advance for receiving physical evidence of their kind deeds. Logically it isn't ideal to use one’s prior actions and behaviors to predict their current response, for when we do, we are often disappointed.
Although we often do this, the past is not reliable for anyone’s present state. As spiritual beings having a human incarnation, we each have the power to selectively choose how we elect to show up in the world at any given moment. In doing so, we can choose to grow, evolve, and unfold or not. Therefore, one can not reliably predict anyone’s action, as their mood, actions, and response, are anyone’s guess. Thankfully this logic doesn’t apply to the law of attraction.
We are all energetic beings with an innate power to co-create with the universe through thought's creative power and energy. Everything is energy, and whether conscious or not, every thought we think and entertain generates an energetic vibration that magnetically attracts all required to materialize our thoughts into tangible form. Invariably the thoughts we think emit a frequency that magnetically attracts the object of our attention. Think thoughts of worry, fear, lack, and limitation, and it magnetically attracts more of the same. This is why we subconsciously attract the substance of the things we fear most.
Naturally, no one wants to manifest their fears. However, the law of attraction is no respecter of persons as it is absolute. In other words, regardless of our intent, it works without fail to attract the substance of our thoughts. This is one place where having an intention and holding a thought opposite in frequency doesn’t work in your favor. The law of attraction responds according to the energy we put out. Concentrate on the things you don’t want; you get more of what you don’t want. Focus your thoughts and attention on having the desires that have not yet materialized, and evoke the law of attraction to work in your favor, attracting the object of your desires.
Where your attention goes, your energy flows. Hence, the more you center your thoughts on what you want, the more you raise your frequency to vibrate at the level of your desires, and the faster you manifest. Likewise, fixing your thoughts onto the energy of gratitude brings you harmony with the creative energies of the universe. Since universal law is absolute (aka unwavering), everything happens to you as you believe; closing your mind to any objective evidence that affirms the contrary and feeling the energy of gratitude that it is already done lawfully magnetizes it into your reality.
Manifesting Your Desires
Have you ever sat and thought to yourself, what do I want? When I ask this question, it’s not just from the perspective of the attainable things that are well within reach but the things you can only dream of having. Inherently, the more we experience missteps along our journey, the more limited our beliefs of what is possible become, making any attempts to imagine a completely new reality mere wishful thinking. Limiting beliefs can seemingly interfere with our attempts to vision beyond our current reality, making it all the more difficult to tap into the power of our imagination to invite in something far better than what we could ever imagine.
If this resonates in the least bit, I invite you to journey with me into the depths of an exercise that walks you through how manifesting works.
How Manifestation Works
You can assume a comfortable position with a pen and journal that is easily available to explore beyond any limitations to the crux of your desires. Take a moment to sit upright with your back in an upright position, with your feet planted firmly on the floor. This posture and positioning support you to redirect your attention away from being solely entrapped in your thoughts to being fully grounded and present in your body. Admit-tingly, no one can truly know what it feels like to live in the reality of what you seek. However, if we assume a childlike imagination, we can feel what we imagine it to be like. In other words, allow yourself to imagine yourself living in the reality you create, allowing each thought to build upon the next until you form a clear mental image.
Being that old habits die hard; you may likely experience the rapid flow of disempowering thoughts which reaffirms the obvious that these imaginal reels are just an unrealistic figment of your imagination. Hence, it is not real. This objective fact will likely loudly sound within your mind, shouting this is not real. No matter how often your awareness works, reiterate the obvious and redirect your attention to how it feels. Beyond just seeing images of your desires, permit yourself to imagine living them. Say you desire a newly constructed home. Perhaps you have driven past the model. Regardless of the starting price, research everything you can learn about. From pricing to square footage, amenities, add-on, and everything else.
Tour the instead, take pictures, and figure out how much it would take to live in it. Calculate the taxes, utilities, homeowner association fees, and everything until you can curate a mental picture. The clearer you get on the vision, the better you can form a mental image. Feel how it feels to wake up in your dream home, cook, commune with family and friends, entertain, and raise a family. Essentially feel how it feels to live in this reality. Once you have a clear reel, replay it each day, several times a day.
Allow yourself to live in the house, paying close attention to how it feels to live in a reality of your choosing. Give yourself a person to feel the joy that comes from materializing your desires. At a minimum, replay this reel several times a day, in the morning and at night, preferability several times a day, allowing yourself to be the frequency. As with any new activity, it takes consistent willful effort to form a new habit. The more you engage in this practice, the more it becomes engrained within your consciousness. This is invariably why vision boards can be a powerful tool for manifestation. That is if we consistently use it as a resource to form the object of desire and not merely as a New Year’s ritual that we create and set aside, never to be referenced again.
Full transparency takes a lot of work when constructing mental reels and images of our desires. There will be times in which you will invariably feel you are spinning your wheels. Pause, take a few deep cleansing breaths, redirect your attention to your intention, and remember your why. There will be times when you will miss the mark and fall short of your efforts; forgive yourself and repeatedly begin again. As with any new habit, the beginning will be riddled with discomfort. However, the more you engage in the activity, regardless of whether you feel like it, the more it becomes automatic, creating habit patterns that soon require little or no thought.
